Episode #1: Aidan Knight - Crazy Cool Cereal Box Journals

Hello Everyone!

While on tour with his Friendly Friends this summer, Aidan Knight of Victoria BC, stopped by Indie Craft Attack to participate in some "Crazy Cool Cereal Box Journal" decorating! It was a humid day in Toronto, but he stuck it out like a trooper and drew a pretty interesting looking van on his journal! What did it look like exactly? Well you're going to have to watch the episode to find out!

Aidan has been pretty busy touring around Canada and promoting his record Versicolour (which I recommend you should all pick up!). Coincidentally, Aidan has also been nominated for a CBC Radio 3 Bucky Award in 2 categories (Best New Artist & Most Canadian Song (Jasper). If you'd like to show your support, check out CBC Radio 3 for more details! Mr. Knight was also the recipient of the $5,000 5th place prize for the 100.5 PEAK Performance Project in BC, Canada! Congrats!

Now lets get to the craft!

Today's craft is a "Crazy Cool Cereal Box Journal"! It's made out of used cereal boxes that you may have piling up in your recycling bin! Visit the "Crafting Instructions" section to find out how! It's simple! Trust me :) Aidan and I will show you how you can decorate your very own journal!

Oh, and did I mention that you might even be able to win the VERY journal Aidan was colouring? It's even complete with a personal message!
Well you can! How? Pay close attention as you watch, and if you can name what Mr. Knight used to draw as a kid, email me at monica@indiecraftattack.com  with the correct answer by midnight Friday November 5, and you'll be put into a draw to win! Winner will be announced Monday November 8th!

So sit back and enjoy as we get to know the man behind the music through some indie craftin',

Have any more questions? Thoughts? Did you make your own journal and decorate it!?
If you made your own, take a picture and email it to me! I'd love to see it!

Happy Craftin'!

Monica

I can't take all the credit of course, here's where I found the inspiration for today's craft!
