The New Year in Indie Craftin and other Spiffy Updates

Hey Everyone!!

How was everyone's 2010? Are we enjoying 2011 thus far?

Well, I just wanted to first of all say thank you to everyone who has supported Indie Craft Attack with the launch of the site and new episodes. It's all been slow going, but it's going, and I hope to bring you more in the New Year!

So how was my 2010? Well, don't even get me started!

First of all I'd like to direct you all to a podcast hosted by Lisa Christiansen on CBC Radio 3. I was delighted to be interviewed for the 21st episode of Extend Play entitled "Do Musicians Have to Trade Privacy for Success?". I chatted about Indie Craft Attack and how social networking has helped make my little crafting venture happen! If you'd like to take a listen click here!

Next is a biggie! I was delighted to be awarded the CBC Radio 3 Bucky for Fan of the Year 2010. It was a great surprise and filled me with lots of smiles! Thanks so much to everyone at CBC Radio 3 and all my blogger pals for being such a big part of my life. I wouldn't have been able to be a part of such a great community without everyone who is involved. If you'd like to hear who else won Buckys this year and how it all went down click here

Now, you're probably all wondering what kind of Indie Craft Attack magic will be happening in the new year? Well, lets just say, it will be AWESOME. Now, it won't come immediately, so please be patient! Musicians and I are busy people! It'll be fun :) Lots of cool crafts, I promise!

Now there is something special I wanted to share with all of you. It comes in the form of a special box I received for Christmas! It was given to me by my lovely boyfriend Patrick. He filled it with buttons he hand picked and thought would be perfect for my future crafting adventures. What a super gift eh? Well, it has inspired me to make some more nifty things with buttons, and inspired me to keep up my Do It Yourself attitude.

So join me in 2011 for lots of Do It Yourself projects, and if you have any suggestions please don't be afraid to bring them to my attention! Add me to Twitter, or send me any email! Both work! And if you are a band who will be travelling through Toronto, or know a band who would love to make something cool, let me know!

Keep smilin' and happy crafting!

Monica
